Specific gravity test failed and giving values of 2.65 (quartz)

Dear weasel,
I tried specific gravity tests and the values are almost near to quartz. Now what? The rubies i used r cerified ones only and not scratching. I can see trigons on it and grains aswell. Completely devasted with SG result.

Here is a specific gravity chart for gemstones. I hope it is helpful. Like I have stated, rock identification is difficult at best. Proper tools and testing are necessary. Getting a diamond tester will place yout stones in categories for you. Most of them will identify your stones very accurately. You have great specimens for viewing, it is difficult to identify them without specific testing.
