Need help to identify white smooth glossy rock.

Found this rock in Alaska in a small creek. It is very smooth and glossy. About 2 cm in diameter. I back lit it with a flashlight and the light shines through on some places. Could it be an agate?

Most likely Quartz. Though a hardness test would better identify it.
