Can golden coated(or colored quartz), be caused by hematite, and not iron?

Hematite is an iron oxide, so is limonite. In my experience, limonite causes yellow staining in quartz. It is not the only thing that causes yellow staining but it is one, and since they are both iron oxides, iron causes the staining.in either case.
