What kind of rock is this.

I found this gigantic rock in my yard it was burning hot when I touched it. It is very smooth and it also absorbs temperature. I would like to know what it is.

My first guess is basalt. Any black stone in direct sunlight would be hot. Hematite is also a possibility.
