Bismuth crystal color fade

0 votes
I make wire wrapped pendants, often with Bismuth crystals that I have purchased from suppliers. I have a customer that bought a rainbow bismuth pendant about 6 weeks ago and she is asking me why the color is fading and wants to know how it can be restored. I have not heard from any other customers about this issue and am not sure what may be causing it. She says she wears the pendant often but stores it in a plastic bag inside of a box when not in use. Any ideas? I don't know a whole lot about bismuth crystals except that they are very popular in my jewelry! Thanks - Laura K

Bizmuth oxidizes. It will change colors over time.
