Marble contains asbestos, so isn't it dangerous?

If marble contains serpentine (asbestos), isn't marble dangerous? Are there other components of marble (like silica) which could endanger health if present in a household?

Its only fibrous serpentine asbestos which has potential danger. If serpentine is associated together with marble, its likely not the fibrous type and therefore not dangerous. Marble is generally assumed to be safe and non-toxic.
