Is there any way to get a lapis back to its original color after being heat damaged?

0 votes
I recently made my first lapis cab ring and it was too large, so I resized it. I used rio chill gel on the stone to prevent cracking or heat damaged, but now it is very white where it was blue and light green where it was a grass Green color.  Any tips? It was a beautiful little cab that looked like a mini earth, and while now it doesn't look terrible, I'd love to get that look back.
