Very curious what this is... any ideas?

Well it is well it is not agate. Looks like yellow Quartz. Where did you find it?

White Rock, British Columbia.

Found mixed in lavarock on train tracks.
Most likely chalcedony or opal, base on its conchoidal fracture and lack of visible crystal faces. Can you do a hardness test?
I was thinking maybe chalcedony. I'm beyond a newb.. I'll have to look up how to do a hardness test. Thank you for the replies!
