Is there a way to change the color tone in quartzite from grey to beige?

0 votes

I spent a fortune on "Taj Mahal" quartzite slabs for the countertops of our new home construction. I thought they would have a beige tone based on the photograph from the supplier. They arrived with bluish-grey tones and are beautiful but clash terribly with the ivory travertine floors and walls in our master bathroom. Per the stone cutter they were very difficult to cut and must have a high percentage of quartz in the stone. I'm wondering if there's anything that can be done to the quartzite countertops to make them more beige and less grey without ruining them?

Thank you!

Quartzite is pretty hard and durable. Only think I can think of is dyeing, but don't know how that would come out in quartzite.
