can pyrite form allong side gold (like on the same rock but totally seperate from each other)

This would be an interesting rock. I find pyrite everywhere, in interesting forms like cubic crystals and orb-like shapes and in fossil bearing rocks, so I suppose it is possible.

Gold and pyrite can form in the same deposits, but a combination specimen is less-commonly encountered.
