What stain can I use to dye the Howlite nodules that I am collecting

This really depends on what stone you are attempting to make your howlite appear to resemble. Most try to dye it a turquoise color but it has been used to represent lapis and red coral. Three very different colors. It is usually used to counterfeit other stones because it accepts dyes so well. Disreputable dealers do this and sell the pieces as the stones being imitated.
