Please provide information on this turquoise stone

0 votes

I recently purchased this turquoise stone at a antique shop in Japan. The seller said that they had acquired the stone in the U.S and that it was really valuable. I was able to purchase the stone for 90 dollars.

My question is whether this is an authentic "American" turquoise stone and a rough estimate on what is the true value of this stone if possible.

Thank you for your assistance on this matter.

It certainly resembles turquoise. The dark green color seems to me is rare. And it is a large piece. Seems to me you got your money's worth at the very least. A jeweler could confirm this and give you a better idea of its worth. That worth would be determined by weight and quality.

Looks like a very good polished turquiose , but I think it's best to take it to a jeweler or gemologist to make sure it's the real deal, we can't do much from seeing this pic.
