Pink vs Purple Fluorite

0 votes
Where is the line between what it said to be pink a fluorite vs what is said to be a purple? I recently visited a very prominent website and I saw a particular locations fluorite labeled as pink. It looks more light to med pale purple. I'm just trying to see if there is a color chart as reference or something. My question stems from the fact that I have material from the very same mine/location and it looks essentially identical color wise but I purchased mine as light to med purple. Needless to say the pink fluorite sold for many times the value of the purple.

There is no specific color chart when it comes to these things. The GIA has different labels for color when it comes to precious gemstones such as colored diamonds, but no such grading system exists for simpler minerals like fluorite specimens. Feel free to post some pictures of the fluorite in question.
