Can anyone please help identify this rock found in northern wi

Very weatherworn, was it found near Lake Superior or a fast river?, for what it is worth it appears to be quartz inside a matrix of some softer rock. Since it is purple quartz that makes it possibly amethyst inside.

Actually the green is like a skin husk covering the crystals that appear to make up the formation. Of the rock it has the white sun burst things like is common with chlorastrollite as well as the crusts of white oranges an brownish like is common with greenstone as well but much larger like the size of a softball.  An it was not found near the lake or a river it was actually near the woods right behind my friends house in Brule an no one I have asked have ev r seen anything like it before.  As the crystals appear to be various shades of greens
