Picture is very poor quality. Can you please post a clearer picture?

Though from the picture it certainly has no resemblance to diamond of any form, and at first glance looks like a simple quartz pebble.

Interesting! I never hear of a diamond being brittle enough to brake...I always seen and heard of diamonds that don't brake even under the strike of a hammer. That's how I found out I had a diamond.

Well first off first, this is from my personal experience to find out if something is a diamond you would need to try and brake it apart. Yes! I know people would be like 'why would you think that?' yeah but one key factor about diamond is they cannot be broken. Try hitting it with the end of a hammer.

That's a misconception. Although diamond is indeed the hardest natural substance, it is brittle and indeed could be broken under stress. However, it cannot be scratched by any other substance.
