Does silver ore always contain traces of gold?

0 votes

Help! The silver section states that silver is sometimes found pure, without any trace elements of gold or other metals. Can anyone please point me to any factual reference that identifies where pure silver has been found / mined that has no trace gold in the ore.

Silver, like other native metals, is rarely 100% pure. I am not sure if there exists a source or reference to identify any localities that produced 100% pure silver, but if there are please share them here.

Hershel, how about just without any trace gold? In other words, are there any known naturally occurring / mined silver that is found without trace gold but with other trace elements such as lead, copper, iron, arsenic, palladium, etc.

Does anyone have any information?

I am not sure. Does anyone out there have any supporting evidence either way?
