Flawless emerald

0 votes

I have a 1.3 carrot emerald with good color in a ring made by my uncle for my mother. It is flawless to the point that some jewlers think it may be synthetic. Others think it is natural. If it is natural. What might it's value be?

Emerald's are rarely flawless, especially at 1.3 ct. Flaws are often hidden with oil or synthetic lubricants, but they are almost always present in good emeralds. Any emerald totally flawless is likely a fake. Unless purchased from a reputable dealer with a certificate, i wouldn't trust it.
