What is this dark, encrusted, crystle-like stone that I found on a beach in Delaware?

It looks a bit like Vivianite but not for sure. Can be found at beach in some countries.

Actually looks more like slag. Are there any visible crystal faces on the black center? Can you take some better close-up photos?
