Hi Please help me find or decide on a Stone

I am looking for the most durable gem next to diamond that would most resemble the color of peridot - Recently had a peridot placed in a bezel setting and the stone broke (apparently I hit it on something) NOW searching for a stone that would be much more durable in the color of peridot - also ask if having an UN Faceted stone is stronger then a faceted stone -

Peridot has a unique, olive or yellow-green color, though green tourmaline or green garnets may be a good and durable substitute. Green sapphire would be extremely durable, especially with a hardness of 9, but its difficult to come across.

Thank u so much for letting me know about garnate. I hadn't thought about that and also thank u for re assuring me that sapphires are a durable stone lol. As u might if guessed I know nothing about been stones but my research kept pointing me to sapphires which is why I was leaning towards that stone. Now as u mentioned this might be a hard task finding one similar to the color of peridot. Would u have any suggestions of places or sites I might try?

You can go to www.gemselect.com and search for green tourmaline, green garnet (i.e. tsavorite), and green sapphire.
