Need assistance identifying this

I found this during recent construction at my house in Long Island New York.   


The rock is very shinny in spots that are about the size of a pinky nail. Other shinny spots are smaller.  Almost reflective. It’s about 1 1/2 “ at its largest point.  Smaller than a golf ball.  Any help would be appreciated.

Please post a picture. If you go back to the original post and click at it you should come up with the box and the two tool bars. .  The first icon in the sixth box on the bottom toolbar is the one you should click to attach a picture. When you click on it follow the prompts make sure to save the server when you're through. The drop down box will give you three options. The icon looks like two mountains and the sun.
