ancient pyrite amulet/talisman

alt texthi.is it possible for ancient pyrite amulets to exist from peru ,egypt etc,,as ive bin told by an ex archaeologist ive got 1,,also told its not,,looks like 1 to me [put pics on shortly]ty

I guess its possible as pyrite is a very common mineral and has been around in the ancient world. Definitely post a picture. Though unless told by a reputable source I would be skeptical of its age.

Got your picture, thanks. From the picture you sent, it definitely looks like pyrite, but what makes you assume it is an ancient amulet/talisman instead of a plain piece of common pyrite?
