What minerals occur most often within a Mexican coconut geode?

0 votes

I just bought this at a bazaar as a Mexican coconut geode, what minerals do you think it contains? I know the picture isn’t the best, but just some broad ideas would be nice. Thanks in advance!

After further investigation, ramsdellite keeps popping up. It appears to be pretty rare, but the pictures match. I don't have a lot of experience with geodes, what do you think?

Most likely quartz or agate, or both.

I just thought the gray coloring was a bit strange, like goetite ( I think I spelled that wrong) or something
Most likely drusy quartz coating the geode. I have seen goethite crystals within geodes which can darken the color if its more dense.
