Need help with Christmas Gift . . . !

+1 vote

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide...

I purchased this item at a recent auction. I plan on giving it to my Grandfather for Christmas, so I hope to identify what it is so I can let him know. I'm attaching four pictures (two more recent pictures, more up close). If you have any idea of what it is, please let me know!

Could you possibly submit different pictures with a little better resolution.i cannot see the crystal formation well enough. The green and white ones on initial examination are close to prehnite and calcite. A drop of vinegar would react with calcite. It would bubble.

The only thing I've seen with a crystal structure like that is a gypsum rose, which is my best guess
