how to find out what mineral a carved indian head is made out of?

0 votes
Hi.  I have a 6" carved head (indian?) made out of a blue/purple stone.  By looking through the minerals, it looks like it is probably sodulite.  Where can i take this, or where can i send a photo, to see what stone this is made of?  Many thanks, Tim

Take it to a rock shop or a mineral show. There most likely will be other specimens to compare and very knowledgeable people to confirn your specimen.
