White Amethyst

0 votes

My family recently visited Polor Caves. I came home with what I believe to be White Amethyst. Is this possible? It's a fraction of a geode.

Amethyst is purple quartz. So if its "White Amethyst" then its white quartz. There is no such thing as white amethyst or amethyst in any other color besides for purple.

If its a white crystal from inside an amethyst geode then it is probably calcite. Calcite is often found inside Amethyst geodes, it is quite common.
