Could you please help me identify the gem?

I am purchasing a ring from the police auction on ebay. Unfortunately, I cannot inspect it directly. There is a marking on the side which says '925', although the pictures itself are not very bright. Was wondering if you could help me out trying to figure it out if the ring is worth purchasing? Thank you!

Really impossible to tell. If you can get clarity in the picture you kight be able to see the mark inside the ring. That usually means a certain certification of precious metal. 925 means sterling silver. So it is a sterling silver ring. I cannot see the side stones. Setting is older. Cut appears older too.

The most common pink gemstones are Rose Quartz, Kunzite, Tourmaline, and pink Topaz. It can really be either of these and would be difficult to tell without visual observation and perhaps some additional testing. 925 would indicate a sterling silver setting.
