Where to find natural citrine?

+1 vote
I've done my research... Most citrine is not natural, but is heat treated amethyst.

In addition, I found out that brazilian citrine is almost always heat treated. Is that true? Where can I find natural citrine? All the typical places (gem shops, etsy, etc) say it is from Brazil.

I'm looking for modest mineral specimens, not cut gemstones.

Reputable stores will tell you. Since you already know, you should remember to ask. Real citrine is rare. I cannot tell you where to find it, but if you are looking for a sample for your collection, I would start at your local rock shop
