Mexican fire opal or carnelian?Found in south Texas, about 10 miles from the Mexico/US Border.  If it’s a Fire opal, like I suspect, this is the most beautiful piece I’ve ever seen!  Thought and opinions greatly appreciated.  60 carats

It is a beautiful stone. My thoughts run to amber and fire opal.
