what are the difference between natural white aquamarine and natural white zircon ?

Visually, they appear identical except for the crystalline shape

Aquamarine is a blue beryl with the formula Be3Al2SiO6.

Zircon has a chemical formula ZrSiO4

The structures of the crystals are tetragonal for zircon and hexagonal for aquamarine. Aquamariene is very hard, so is zircon.
