Can you answer some questions? Where did you find it? On a mountain outside of Denver, Colorado is the kind of geographical clue I am looking for. Secondly, is it inordinately heavy? If so it may be a metallic ore. It looks porous. Is it magnetic?

I found it on manitoulin island in a field. It's quite heavy it is not magnetic
Thank you.
Possibly Galena, especially if its heavy and not magnetic. Can you check its streak  color by scratching it against the back of a tile?
