Hi I'm a 48 year old earthmover who loves strange stones which i find while excavating rocks. I found a silver white metal with a yellow tinge not as heavy as gold small piece around 8 grams metal not flakey seems solid and was discovered around 9 meters down in solid basalt with small agget geoed's in basalt metal was a small vein only 15 centermeters in length and 5 cm in width. I found the same metal again in a vein of clear to cloudy quarts within a granit rock tried uploading photo but didnt work any ideas or do i need photos? thx if anyone can help
A photo would definitely help - also any description on the locality. Can you also test the streak and see if the metal bends in thin areas?
Also, what specific trouble were you having when trying to upload photos?
Thank you for the response. I have been fortunate enough to run into a geoligist who i showed my collection to and have been advised it was only pyrite so im a fool...lol and the karma>60 was the error message but my wife said she can fix this for me and is related to the way i saved my photo's sorry computers are not my specialty. I love this site and hope to have some more interesting thing's to show everyone. Thank you again for your time and it was very apreciated.
