Prasiolite? I found with alot of Quartz

I am hoping to get a reassuring answer from someone on here about this mineral? here is what i can tell you it was found in the Carolina's Usa in a streams in the mountains with Quartz Minerals. I believe it to be Quartz Crystal possibly , .could you please reassure me of this mineral? it is yellowish green in color and is translucent. but a large stone and has not been polished.

Not prasiolite, which is a leek green quartz.  Prasiolite's color is caused by heating pale citrine or a variety of amethyst from a specific region of Brazil.  It would not be found naturally.  
I suspect your specimen is a silicate and would take closer inspection to make a proper identification.  Find a lapidary club near you and find someone to show it to.  There should be a number if them in NC.
