What is this rock? Pictures included.

0 votes

My grandmother had this rock for a long time. I have no idea where she got it. It is a greyish-green color with white rock veins. The white rock seems a little rough where the grey-green is very smooth. It is about 8 inches long and 5 1/2 - 6 inches at the widest part. Could it be a type of jade?

Thanks for any information or advice.

Hard to tell without really taking a personal look at it. My suggestion is to bring it to a mineral show and see if any experts can assist with the identification.
