How Rare Are Native Lead Flakes and How Much Are They Worth?

0 votes
I know where there are native lead flakes with hydrocerrusite coating as well as flakes without the coating. I have not found them elsewhere available on the internet and would like to find a market for them if possible. I would appreciate some help with pricing also. So far, they are about three eighths of an inch in diameter. I do not currently have a photo available but plan to start collecting them again soon.

I could only find a couple references and they seemed to say lead flakes are rare. Take a sample to a rock/mineral shop near you and they should be able to help. Ask at a rock and mineral show.
