I think you are referring to olivine/peridot.

When a meteorite is burning up in earth's atmosphere,it usually appears to be a white streak.On 2 occasions, 4 decades apart, I've seen the mereorite turn from white to bright emerald green just before burning out. So, what minerals burn green in a meteorite ? Thank you.
In that case I did not understand your question correctly. I am not sure what causes the specific color of the meteor as it burns up in the atmosphere. Perhaps someone with a bit more knowledge will be able to answer that.
