Hi

I'm researching a novel. I would like to know if:

  1. Emeralds are found in marble mines? (underground rather than quarried)
  2. Rubies are found in marble mines?
  3. If both rubies and emeralds can be found in the same mine?
  4. What other precious stones may be found in the mine?
  5. What igneous rocks may hold a layer of marble, lifted high during the mountain building process, especially igneous rocks with a green hue?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Hmmmm, good question. I'm a writer and my books have a lot to do with gems. I don't think that emeralds

can be found it marble mines. Its possible though.  I have no clue about ruby, I'll have to go into that!
