What type of stone is this and doesit have alt textany value? Its light pink,weighs150grams and solid

Hard to tell without knowing its properties, but it certainly looks like quartz. The light pink color would indicate rose quartz. The color is too faded and transparency to weak for it to have a real value, but see if there are others in the same area with more superior quality. Where did you find this?

I found it in Cape Town, South Africa where i live. I will look for others. The water table is aprox 5 metres below my property and the soil slightly fine to sandy . In your opinion, how much per carat will a superior quality fetch?

I concur. Quartz, no doubt. Little value no matter how good. Abundant nearly everywhere. I have seen them polished and turned into jewelry. The different shades are caused by minerals available when the quartz was formed. Quartz is very hard. You will not be able to scratch it with a knife or a coin.
