black quartz

Found some big pure black quartz 6 about size of football 8 size of milk bottle many size of golfball all with 5/6 facets we do have smokey quartz here by the ton but these others r pure black can anyone put a name on them 4 me, Rod Qld

These are really nice smoky quartz crystals! Quite an impressive find! You got the name right when you called them smoky quartz - thats what they are.

Where did you find these? What locality?

found them on my property just outside Stanthorpe Qld au also have some facets as bigger than a keyboard, are they of any value? Rod

They are definitely of value. Especially at that size with the well-preserved crystal faces. Those are quite a find! I wish you were closer by me so I could check them out!
