flour gold or flour pyrite?

How does a person tell the difference between flour/placer gold and pyrite?

There are many differences - gold has a much heavier weight, and has a yellow streak as opposed to pyrite's black streak.

gold is usually butter YELLOW, heavy, metallic. what i tell most people when asked while prospecting is to compate it to a wedding or gold ring, it will look very similar, exept the natural gold will generally be more YELLOW.
