Emerald bought in India

0 votes

My Mother recently bought an Emerald whilst on holiday in India. The stone has been set. Only problem is it looks like it's clear in places and green in others, a bit like if you dropped green dye into water and it forms coloured clouds. I know of cloudy Emeralds, and this looks nothing like one. I will post a picture as soon as I can.

Emeralds often have flaws and appear cloudy. Please post some pictures so we can take a look...

Emeralds are durable and have stable color. Color discoloration is likely a sign of artificial coloration.
